 Group History - 1st Shanklin

First Shanklin Scout Group was formed in1908, and has a fantastic Group archive of early Scout Photos. Our archive contains over 6GB of information about the Group, so what you see here is just a precis of the Group's story.

One of the most interesting facts about the Group is the Stained Glass window in the beautiful church of St Saviour on the Cliff which is dedicated to a Shanklin Scout. Find out more in our story here.       

Of course, another interesting fact is that I was Skip (Scout Troop Leader) from 1995 to 1997......
